Joe Sat, one of the founders of

REX NEEDS MUSICIAN, picked up his first guitar in his very young age. He immerses himself into various styles of music since his childhood. He is professional in playing different types of guitar such as Classical, Acoustic and Electric. He graduated from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education specialised in Digital Music and Audio Technology in 2010.

 

Mr. Sat is a holder of different professional qualifications which include the Diploma of ABRSM Performance in Classical Guitar, ABRSM Grade 8 in Theory as well as Trinity Rockschool Grade 8 in Electric Guitar.

 

Besides, he is also an award winner in various competitions. In the “SoundBase Festival” held by Tom Lee Music in 2014, Mr. Sat and his band “The Other Way” won the Bronze Prize and Mr. Sat himself even won the Best Individual Performance Award. Later on in Classic Rock Band Competition in Macau, Mr. Sat and his rock band once again not only won the Bronze Prize but also the Best Famous Online Award.

 

He currently delicates in teaching, performing as well as song-writing. He has more than 10-year-experience in teaching guitar in different studios, schools, colleges and community centres. He is also an active performer that it would not be hard to see him performing in different occasions like malls, weddings or pubs. In order to promote the fascinating artistry of guitar, he founded REX NEEDS MUSICIAN with friends in 2017. He hopes that with his passion in music he could contribute in cultivating the young generations and help music-lovers to exploit their potentials.
